Forest gardens and regenerative landscapes, when designed and managed correctly, will mature to become largely self-fertilizing. However, in the initial stages of development (4-5 years) nurturing the new plants requires a deliberate approach.

During this post will look at how to harness the power of natural fertilizers in your forest garden or regenerative landscape, covering three main sources of fertility that we have used with success in our own gardens, wood ash, compost and urine.
