I am in the Alicante region of south Spain and inherited a beautiful mature fig tree that had been “topped” (sawn off at the top of the trunk) 10 years ago. Since then the tree has grown plenty of branches providing wonderful shade for my chickens, but the fruit it produces is small and drops before becoming ripe. What can the problem be? Other fig trees in the area produce abundant juicy fruit
